We are a professional body for the neurologists in Hong Kong. Neurology is a specialty of medicine dealing with disorders of the nervous system.

Our Missions

  1. to advance the knowledge and practice of neurology as a science;
  2. to create an awareness of the prevalence of neurological disorders;
  3. to improve the standard of neurological diagnosis and treatment;
  4. to encourage, develop or assist in the development of research in neurology and related disciplines.

Invitation to apply HKNS Scholarship 2016

The Hong Kong Neurological Society Scholarship 2016 for young neurologist is now open for application. This is a prestige Scholarship provided by the Society. Applicant must be a full member / life member of The Society and should have acquired his Fellowship in Neurology from the Hong Kong College of Physicians no longer than 7 years ago. The maximum scholarship amount for the awardees is HK$50,000 each. The deadline for application is 31st March 2016.

Double sponsorships (except granted by HA and his own institute) is not accepted for single training programme. The scholarship time frame is 1st July 2016 to 30th June 2017. For further details, please refer to the attached terms.

HKNS would like to thank Yu Foundation (广东省与人公益基金会) for donating HK$2 millions to HKNS for providing scholarships and travel grant for neurologists in low-mid income countries to advance their studies on neurology, supporting them to join the Asian-Oceanian Congress of Neurology 2014 and support the advancements of neurology development.
